When I Fly Towards You is a 2023 coming-of-age romantic comedy about an exuberant and optimistic high school transfer student Su Zai Zai (Zhang Miao Yi) who is struck with love at first sight for the distant and academically superior Zhang Lu Rang (Zhou Yi Ran) 15.
Set in 2012, the series shows how Su Zai Zai's cheerful and relentless personality slowly cracks the emotional barriers of Zhang Lu Rang, who suffers from deep self-doubt, and provides a constant comparison to his genius younger brother 12. Together with their friends, a witty Gu Ran (Bian Tian Yang), loyal Jiang Jia (Jiang Zhi Nan) and hilarious Guan Fang (Guo Zhe), they navigate the hurdles of adolescence together, support each other's emotional growth and even fall into a budding young romance 18.
