Qiao Jingjing a shining star in the entertainment world projects an image of easy grace. But behind the glittering facade she is at a personal and professional junction, her confidence shaken. By chance which waylays her on the road of destiny is Yu Tu, her high school crush which was unrequited.

Now Yu Tu is the opposite of a celebrity – a brilliant aerospace engineer whose brain is in the stars which he devotes to the great silent void out there. His is a world of complex equations and quiet devotion, a far cry from the flash and dash of Jingjing’s world.

Their worlds crash together when Jingjing in need of a coach for a key video game competition which is the turning point of her career turns to the only person she thinks can help – the intelligent Yu Tu. What starts out as a simple transactional arrangement grows into something much deeper. In the late night gaming sessions they bridge the great distance between their very different lives. Jingjing uncovers the great import of Yu Tu’s dreams and the quiet patriotism that drives his work, while Yu Tu looks past the celebrity to the determined and strong woman Jingjing really is.
