The series follows Cheng Ming (Smile Wei), an eager high school student with dreams of becoming a musical theater star, although her parents and grades weren't supportive (12). After working hard to brave a strict academics, Cheng Ming's dreams would finally become a reality when she passed a major exam and was accepted into China's top performing arts academy (12), where she meets a group of aspiring artists including You Zhi Qi (Jia Yi), a rising pop idol who was trying to cultivate his own career (15).
The two become very close until a paparazzo captures inappropriate photos of them together and sparks scandalous rumors that threaten to derail You Zhi Qi's blooming career (12). At first, he is pressured by his agency to blame Cheng Ming for their mutual situation in order for his career to remain profitable, but You Zhi Qi cannot simply throw Cheng Ming under the bus and waste her hopes and dreams for his career (12). As the two deal with the challenges of growing up, dating and dealing with fame, a lodger builds between them causing further complications to their already troubled careers.
