Bon Appรฉtit, Your Majesty (also called The Tyrant's Chef) is a 2025 South Korean fantasy historical romance drama. The story follows the journey of Yeon Ji-yeong (Im Yoon-ah), a modern-day French chef that is awarded a top prize from a cooking competition and mysteriously time-travels to 19th-century Joseon. While there she meets King Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min), a tyrant ruler with a very sophisticated palate and an explosive temper. Ji-yeong is forced to cook for the king and, using her modern culinary skills, makes beautiful and aesthetically pleasing fusion-type dishes to impress King Lee, challenging palace history traditions and pushing boundaries politically and romantically. Throughout her court struggles, Ji-yeong faces opposition from King Lee's lustful concubine Kang Mok-ju (Kang Han-na), who want Ji-yeong dead and so do Lee's political enemies, like his half-brother Prince Je Seon (Choi Gwi-hwa), who sees a possibleed reformer in Ji-yeong. Ji-yeong is caught up with court intrigues, life-threatening situations, and the possibility of changing the course of history263.
